Bello Gio’s by the River is a local labor of love. We are an exquisitely new and hot restaurant at NDSM with a long family history of passionate chefs. Our menu is a harmony of original and truly delicious Italian flavors, crafted with extreme passion and precision to every detail.
From the perfect crispy pizza to our signature handmade pasta and curated antipasti selection, every bite brings you straight to la Bella Italia. To complete the experience, we have designed a cocktail menu that pairs perfectly with the atmosphere and energy of the restaurant.
As a distinctive restaurant in Amsterdam North, we carefully source our ingredients and prepare every recipe with true amore. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day at the docks, offering a sophisticated yet 70’s chique environment unlike anywhere else in the city.
It all started years ago when I arrived in Amsterdam together with my mama Lolo. Our hearts were devoted to sharing our own touch of Italian cuisine with Holland, along with suitcases full of books filled with Nonna’s original recipes.
Now, the time has finally come. I will follow my own path and continue my family legacy by bringing these exceptionally authentic Italian flavors to my own restaurant. Located alongside the beautiful banks of the IJ, we invite you to taste the history and passion in every dish.
